My View on How We Operate When it Pertains to Money
If you are like me and would rather watch a video instead of reading what is below, then watch this video summary:
I, Ken, have a passion to see unreached people groups reached with the Gospel. So few churches engage what I believe is a high priority in scripture. (For more on this idea, watch this short video) Global Missions Consulting is an outgrowth of that passion to see churches in America take the gospel to ethnic groups without a viable witness to the gospel.
My View
In my life, I have been heavily influenced by Francis Schaeffer. I love their story of how the Schaeffer’s ministry, referred to as L’Abri Fellowship, was to be a “demonstration of God’s existence”. One way they sought to do this was through their funding efforts. The primary strategy of L’Abri funding was to pray, and God would supply what was needed for the things that He wanted them to do. They never asked for money in all their mailers. They just prayed. Constantly. I like that a lot. My variation is a little different.
How is GMC different?
With this ministry, I do not want to go ask for money and do a campaign to raise funds to operate. My goal is to simply say, “ God, if you want me to do something to help churches do missions, then You will supply any money necessary to carry out the task a church is asking me to do”.
What does that look like?
Here are a few bullet points that I hope will help.
I desire to assist churches desiring to do missions.
There is a lot I can do over the phone and online like:
Email,
Online Meetings
Introductions
Connections
If it comes to there being a need for money, then God supplies the money to do what is needed.
What Do You Mean?
If money is needed to travel locally or anywhere and God has not given me the money to accomplish what is being asked, I take that as a “ God doesn’t want it”
Some churches may want to pay it forward to help the next church.
Virtual Missions Pastor
Reaching the world with the Gospel is a critical calling for Christians. Yet most churches are not able to afford a staff member dedicated to missions. A virtual missions pastor can come alongside your staff and lay leaders to help you reach your community and the world with the Gospel.
Coaching
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a missions ministry in your church but don’t know where to start. Coaching can help you walk through strategies and ideas that fit your church or organization to have an impact in your community and around the world.
Resourcing can come in many ways.
Training your leaders in person or online
Helping find speakers for your mission events
Helping you find the right training materials
Global Missions Consulting can help you with resourcing needs.
